Business Development Manager – Auckland

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from initial conversation though to conversion and onboarding, with the full backing and assistance of an established brand. Utilising a range of research and direct prospecting techniques, you will enjoy identifying and engaging with prospective customers, quickly building rapport to understand their business needs, and effectively articulating our value proposition and how our services can assist them.

With a strategic, consultative approach, you will seek to partner with customers, leading the wider team to tailor technology and services solutions to meet their needs. Comfortable presenting to prospective clients, confidently and clearly articulating complex solutions and their associated benefits, you will be interested in technology and how it’s used to solve real problems and help our customers deliver on their business strategies.

With superb communication and interpersonal skills, developing productive networks and trusted relationships will be second nature, and you will delight in the idea of being the master of your own destiny and the opportunity to drive an outcome. What you’ll bring

  • 3 years+ prior experience within a similar sales role focused on selling complex solutions
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and self-generation of leads and a qualified pipeline
  • An analytical, commercial mindset with proven negotiation, planning, forecasting and pipeline management skills
  • A positive attitude, resilient and tenacious approach and the ambition to succeed
  • A high level of professionalism and attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in IT managed services and/or a technology background will be an advantage and highly regarded
